CHUCK MILLER ART GALLERY
Step into the vibrant world of my personal art gallery, a digital exhibition showcasing a collection of 90+ paintings.
From early on, art has been in my life. My mother, a creative soul herself, introduced me to drawing as a kid. At 12, I submitted my interpretation of “The Turtle and the Pirate” to the Art Instruction Schools, only to later learn that everyone gets accepted, as they are an art school looking for new students. Undeterred, this experience fueled my determination to keep on doing what I do. Being artistic.
I took art classes throughout junior high and high school. I learned the if I went and asked the teacher which of the two options I should go with on a project, I always got a better grade when I went with her preference. Now I just reach inside and go with what feels right. If I don’t like it, I paint over it. I keep it simple.
Take a look at these acrylic paintings—a collection of 90+ pieces I created. They’re the result of techniques I learned from Kristine Huete, an accomplished artist who taught me the art of pouring.
Kristine introduced me to acrylic painting, focusing on fluid art, pouring techniques, and the use of pouring mediums to craft abstract designs. She showed me how to mix water, Floetrol, and alcohol into the paint to create cells, adding depth and a unique visual appeal that basic pour painting lacks. As a lifelong painter with a true passion for her craft, Kristine’s guidance and instruction were essential—I wouldn’t have been interested in acrylic pouring without her. She provided the initial tools I needed to begin, and since then, I’ve purchased my own supplies to continue creating. I enjoy this process and plan to keep producing more art in the future.
These paintings mark the beginning of my acrylic pouring journey, made possible by Kristine’s mentorship and the skills I’ve gained along the way. If you’re interested in learning more about Kristine Huete and her work, visit her gallery here: Kristine Huete Gallery
There’s more to come, so feel free to check back for future pieces.
